Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working in both film, television, and theatre. From the age of 27 she has been engaged as an accomplished actress. The first time she appeared on stage as a part of an unstaged Broadway production called The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley, in 1990. In The Perfect Tribute, she was the first actress to appear on television a few years after. When she appeared in 1992, as played a supporting character in the movie Basic Instinct and then her career started to take off. For The Firm, she played the leading female character for the first time. The film was filmed with Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Over the course of the 1990s Gwyneth collaborated together with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes as well as Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Recently, she was the character Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.

It was not a win, however she became second that year after taking home the Aldila Junior Classic. The most junior American Junior Golf Association member to ever win the championship, she also won the Westfield Junior PGA Championship in the same year.
